St. Louis Rams
MIAMI GARDENS – Greg the Leg made it interesting. Not until St. Louis Rams rookie kicker Greg Zuerlein missed from a potential record-setting 66 yards on the game's final play did the Miami Dolphins escape with a 17-14 win on Sunday afternoon at Sun Life Stadium. The Rams moved from their own 3 to the Dolphins' 48-yard-line in eight plays over the final 1:41, but they didn't quite get close enough to force overtime. The miss was the third of the game for Zuerlein, who had made his first 15 to open his career. The Dolphins, home for the first time in three weeks, climbed back to .500 with a second consecutive win. They enter the bye week at 3-3 and feeling good about their prospects of ending a run of three consecutive losing seasons. The Rams, in their first season under coach Jeff Fisher, dropped to 3-3 overall and 0-3 on the road. Fisher turned down the Dolphins coaching job in January after taking more than week to mull his options. He dropped to 3-8 all-t...

Rams K Greg Zuerlein missed three field goals in Sunday’s Week 6 loss to the Dolphins. Zuerlein missed from 52, 37 and 66 yards out. They are the first three misses of his NFL career. We wouldn’t worry too much about Legatron’s off day, and the Rams’ inept red-zone offense should keep bringing him chances. Zuerlein trails only Lawrence Tynes in field-goal attempts this season...
The 3-3 Miami Dolphins are a 500 team for the first time since December 19, 2010. The Dolphins were 7-7 prior to finishing the 2010 season 7-9 and beginning 2011 with seven straight losses. Three...
Come here for the best Miami Dolphins blog on the web. We have all of the most up to date new and opinions on the Dolphins organization for its fans.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Evan Silva of Rotoworld.com, some teams are interested in trading for St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson, but they don’t want to pay him the money he’s scheduled to make.“Teams would like to trade for Jackson, but no one wants to pay what he makes right now,” said Schefter. This likely means Jackson will finish up this season...
Earlier this year the Dolphins fans were outside the stadium and complaining about the ownership and GM, their team is tied for first in the division. I know it sounds crazy but the Dolphins have a great shot. Ryan Tannehill has brought the team back into playoff talks. Right now everyone in the AFC East has a fair shot, because they are all 3-3. This weekend Ryan Tannehill completed...
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Score this one for Mr. Second Choice.
When the Miami Dolphins went looking for a coach after last season, Jeff Fisher was tops on their list. But Fisher spurned the Fish and went to St. Louis.
He returned to Dolphins turf Sunday for the first time since his interview last January. And what happened?
Fisher, a guy coaching his 268th NFL regular-season game...
Looking at the numbers, this doesn’t look good for the Rams. Since the end of the 2007 season, the Rams have won exactly five road games. Yes, this is a different team, but this new team is 0 and 2 on the road. The Rams need to be able to run the ball, or at least threaten the run to have offensive success. Turns out, Miami is the number one defense against the run in the...
Rams running back Steven Jackson was healthy, but split time evenly with rookie Daryl Richardson.Fantasy Spin:This is not good news for Jackson's fantasy owners. Miami's defense was ranked No. 1 against the run heading into the game so not much was expected of Jackson, but this new strategy, if ongoing, is a shift that will significantly reduce Jackson's fantasy value.
DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -- Calling for a fake punt with four minutes left is risky stuff from a rookie coach, especially one as even-keel as Joe Philbin. The Miami Dolphins coach concedes Las Vegas isn't for him.
He does play the odds though, which paid off in Miami's 17-14 win Sunday over the St. Louis Rams. A successful fake punt was one of several key plays by the Dolphins down...
via Bleacher ReportI think that Sam Bradford may need to spend some time in the hot tub this evening to cure what will most likely be an incredibly sore back following this short TD run. Karlos Dansby of the Miami Dolphins jumped over the pile and literally bent Sam completely backwards. Check out the video below and you will see how amazing it is that Bradford wasn’t seriously...
The Miami Dolphins' dysfunction took many forms Sunday, including a backward pass by Ryan Tannehill that flew out of bounds for a 7-yard loss. His offensive linemen managed to commit four penalties in a three-play span, while defensive breakdowns and replay overrules were recurring problems. Even so, the Dolphins did enough right to hold off the St. Louis Rams, 17-14.
Statistically speaking, the St. Louis Rams dominated the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon in South Florida. Unfortunately, the result did not reflect what happened on the field as the Rams lost 17-14 to the Dolphins.
Despite racking up 462 yards of total offense, versus just 192 for the Dolphins, the Rams were only able to muster 14 points and lost their third road game of...
The Packers' confidence has been bolstered by a big win at Houston, not that there was anything "wrong" with the team. Now, the page turns to the vastly improved St. Louis Rams.
