The Dolphins were eliminated from playoff contention by virtue of the Bengals' victory over the Steelers, but the possibility of an 8-8 finish remains alive. The Dolphins had their first three-takeaway game of the season and converted them into 17 points, two Ryan Tannehill touchdowns passe to Reggie Bush, one of 17 yards and another of 12 yards, and a 45-yard Nate Kaeding field goal. Bush also had a 2-yard touchdown run. Bush finished with 42 yards receiving on four catches. The last time he had two touchdown catches Dec. 13, 2009 for New Orleans in a game at Atlanta. The whistle had blown and Reggie Bush stood in the end zone, holding the ball for a touchdown as he wiggled his right leg to free it from the annoying grasp of a Buffalo Bills defender.

Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith injured his knee against the Buffalo Bills Sunday afternoon, missing the majority of the second half. Smith injured his left knee in the third quarter as he threw a block allowing safety Chris Clemons to recover a Buffalo fumble.
