According to ProFootballWeekly.com, the Miami Dolphins are reportedly concerned about running back Daniel Thomas’ motivation.
“In HBO’s Hard Knocks, we saw second-year Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas get in some trouble with head coach Joe Philbin for being late. We’re told that while Thomas has looked good on the field this preseason, there are still questions about his motivation. Philbin has already shown with trades of Brandon Marshall and Vontae Davis that players need to fully buy in to his system. Reggie Bush will be a free agent after this season, and if the Dolphins choose not to re-sign him, Thomas has an opportunity to be a No. 1 back if he puts it all together this season,” wrote PFW.
We know that Philbin doesn’t care who’s not fitting into his system, he’ll quickly get rid of them. There’s a reason Vontae Davis and Chad Johnson are gone.

Did the Dolphins make a mistake in Ryan Tannehill?
Sure, Ryan Tannehill’s wife does a great job playing the South Beach hottie, but that doesn’t translate to wins for the Dolphins. We all knew it was coming when the Miami Dolphins selected quarterback Ryan Tannehill with the eighth selection of the 2012 NFL draft, but we also knew he wasn’t ready to start in [...]

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland could be out of a job at the end of the season if his team continues to play the way they did today.

Week 1 Recap: 3 LBs Force Turnovers, Royster Sees Little Action
It’s finally back.
As if I even need to mention it, the NFL season is back in full swing. After the first batch of games, it appears as if it will be another hugely defense-heavy year for Penn Staters in the NFL.
As of posting, there are only 4 Nittany Lions on NFL roster in offensive, stat-recording positions (Sorry, lineman!) and of those, only 1 is a starter.
If there’s...
Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland On Hot Seat
The Dolphins must emerge from 2012 knowing exactly what they have in Ryan Tannehill, but also critical is this: Owner Stephen Ross must decide whether Jeff Ireland is the right man long-term for the franchise's most important position, aside from quarterback. Ross made clear he expects a winning team in 2012, though some of Ireland's moves suggest he's far more concerned...

Can Dolphins Pull Off the Upset?
In the NFL debut of Coach Joe Philbin and quarterback Ryan Tannehill, the Dolphins hardly could have drawn a tougher assignment than the Houston Texans — on the road no less. Houston is considered by most one of the favorites in the AFC in 2012 and the Dolphins will go into this game as the biggest underdogs on opening day. But is a victory impossible? Stranger things have happened.
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Dolphins Edition
The Houston Texans opened up their regular season yesterday against the Miami Dolphins at Reliant Stadium. The Dolphins, with rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill, came into this game hoping to do to the Texans what Mark Sanchez did to them his rookie season and win his first career football game. It’s obvious that the Texans remembered that game and were not about to allow it to...

Miami off, running to start season
Anchored by Reggie Bush, who ran for over a thousand yards last year, the Miami Dolphins backfield will surely be the key to setting the offense in motion. Bush is backed up by 2nd year man Daniel Thomas who proved to be a serviceable backup last year when called upon to spell Bush.
