Image via TMZ.com Miami Dolphins defensive back Jonathon Amaya has been charged with battery for pulling a Patrick Kane.  According to a Miami Beach Police report, Amaya was arrested early on Monday morning when he offered a cab driver $100 to take him from Miami Beach to Weston.   Without many details it is hard to speculate on what really happened, but the report says the driver told police Amaya became aggressive, so he turned around the car and asked him to get out.   Amaya disagreed with the cabbie and took matters into his own hands, literally.  At that point Amaya wrapped his hands around the driver’s neck and starting choking him. Officers saw the taxi driving erratically and heard the driver scream “this man is trying to kill me.”  Police escorted Amaya out of the car and he was later arrested and the driver wasn’t injured. My only concern or yellow flag with the story reported is why on earth the cabbie would take off driving while he was getting choked?  Seems like an unu...

Sprinklers come on during Dolphins game

During the second half of the Dolphins and Seahawks game, the players got a big surprise when the sprinklers turned on, without warning.  You can see both teams absolutely stunned with the sprinklers, and the game was delayed a bit as they had to shut off the sprinklers. It may seem funny to most people, but a professional organization should never have a mess up like that. Classis...

Tannehill impressive in Dolphins comeback win over Seahawks

The Miami Dolphins have looked terrible the last 2 weeks, most notably on offense.  Unfortunately, the Dolphins offense continued their poor play on through the first half of the game on Sunday.  The Dolphins struggled to score only 7 points through 3 quarters against the stingy Seahawks defense in large part because they were pinned deep in their own territory for most of the...

Joe Philbin on Dolphins receiver Bess: 'He's got some slipperiness to him'

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Davone Bess got a few looks from rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill Sunday, and Bess delivered. Bess had his best game of the season in the Dolphins' 24-21 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, catching seven passes for 129 yards. More importantly, he caught two passes for first downs on the Dolphins' game-winning drive. The undrafted free agent ...

Dolphins encouraged by resurgent ground game

While rookie Ryan Tannehill led a fourth-quarter comeback and Dan Carpenter kicked the winning field goal on the final play, the Miami Dolphins' resurgent running attack was an unsung hero in their victory over Seattle. For the first time since Week 3, the Dolphins topped 100 yards Sunday in their 24-21 victory. And Marshawn Lynch, the Seahawks' 1,000-yard rusher, netted...

Dolphins win on Carpenter field goal on final play

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - Miami kicker Dan Carpenter didn't wait for presents on his 27th birthday. He gifted-wrapped Sunday's game with Seattle for himself and his team, hitting a 43-yard field goal as time expired to give the Dolphins a 24-21 victory. The game was marked by a brief interruption in the third quarter when the sprinklers on the field went on, but that could...

Sprinklers go off during Seahawks, Dolphins game (VIDEO)

During today’s Dolphins – Seahawks game, the sprinklers inexplicably went off at Sun Life Stadium. According to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post, the sprinklers went off because of a computer malfunction. Official reason for sprinklers from the #Dolphins: There was a computer glitch, and sprinklers were still set on the Saturday schedule — Ben Volin (@BenVolinPBP) November...

Sprinklers Come on at Miami Dolphins vs. Seattle Seahawks Game (Video)

The Miami Dolphins vs. Seattle Seahawks game had an unexpected delay on Sunday when the sprinklers came on in the 3rd quarter.  Luckily they were playing in Miami so it's still mid 70's outside, probably turned out to be a pleasant surprise.  The Dolphins went on to win the game 24-21 on a last second field goal by Dan Carpenter.  Check out the video of the mishap below...

Running Game Revival?

Reggie Bush's vantage point was from behind. Carrying the ball on a sweep, he happily followed 303-pound pulling center Mike Pouncey, who led the way like a runaway bulldozer. ''I knew it was going to be a big play,'' Bush said. It ended in the end zone. The 21-yard touchdown run showed that when the Miami Dolphins get their ground game going, they can be hard to stop.

Week 12 AFC East game picks: Seahawks at Dolphins

Lead writer Nick St. Denis and AFC East Daily contributors Dan Begnoche and Sean Donovan pick the Miami Dolphins' home contest against the NFC's Seattle Seahawks. Nick's take: Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is coming off his second straight rookie game, and he'll need to turn it around fast facing a defense that will certainly pin its ears back against the young...

Week 12: Seahawks at Dolphins (Game Thread)

Headed into their bye week back in mid-October, the Dolphins were riding on a respectable 4-3 record, but since then they've lost their last three games to drop their record to 4-6. Miami's offense is pretty bad.  Their rookie QB Ryan Tannehill has thrown a combined five interceptions in his last two games, he hasn't completed at least 60% of his passes since week...
