PLAYERS: Jake Long
TEAMS: Miami Dolphins
San_diego_chargers_5f3e
Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald writes that the Dolphins LT Jake Long is expected to be the top candidate to receive the team’s franchise tag. Long has been regarded as one of the top players at his position since being drafted, but he’s been struggling to regain his Pro Bowl form. Despite his struggles Long is on his way to make his 5th consecutive Pro-Bowl since being drafted. Long will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, so the team will have to decide whether or not he’s worthy of a long-term contract or even their franchise tag that could cost them close to $15 million next season. Sprinklers come on during Dolphins game

During the second half of the Dolphins and Seahawks game, the players got a big surprise when the sprinklers turned on, without warning.  You can see both teams absolutely stunned with the sprinklers, and the game was delayed a bit as they had to shut off the sprinklers. It may seem funny to most people, but a professional organization should never have a mess up like that. ClassisÂ...

Tannehill impressive in Dolphins comeback win over Seahawks

The Miami Dolphins have looked terrible the last 2 weeks, most notably on offense.  Unfortunately, the Dolphins offense continued their poor play on through the first half of the game on Sunday.  The Dolphins struggled to score only 7 points through 3 quarters against the stingy Seahawks defense in large part because they were pinned deep in their own territory for most of the...

Joe Philbin on Dolphins receiver Bess: 'He's got some slipperiness to him'

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Davone Bess got a few looks from rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill Sunday, and Bess delivered. Bess had his best game of the season in the Dolphins' 24-21 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, catching seven passes for 129 yards. More importantly, he caught two passes for first downs on the Dolphins' game-winning drive. The undrafted free agent ...

Dolphins encouraged by resurgent ground game

While rookie Ryan Tannehill led a fourth-quarter comeback and Dan Carpenter kicked the winning field goal on the final play, the Miami Dolphins' resurgent running attack was an unsung hero in their victory over Seattle. For the first time since Week 3, the Dolphins topped 100 yards Sunday in their 24-21 victory. And Marshawn Lynch, the Seahawks' 1,000-yard rusher, netted...

Dolphins Player Arrested For Choking a Taxi Driver

I choked big time T… Miami Dolphins defensive back Jonathon Amaya was arrested early Monday morning on Miami Beach for allegedly choking a taxi driver, according to Miami Beach Police. According to the report, Amaya had flagged the taxi down and asked the driver to be taken to Weston. Vunge said he didn’t go that far but agreed to take him there after Amaya gave him $100 cash...

Dolphins win on Carpenter field goal on final play

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - Miami kicker Dan Carpenter didn't wait for presents on his 27th birthday. He gifted-wrapped Sunday's game with Seattle for himself and his team, hitting a 43-yard field goal as time expired to give the Dolphins a 24-21 victory. The game was marked by a brief interruption in the third quarter when the sprinklers on the field went on, but that could...

Sprinklers Come on at Miami Dolphins vs. Seattle Seahawks Game (Video)

The Miami Dolphins vs. Seattle Seahawks game had an unexpected delay on Sunday when the sprinklers came on in the 3rd quarter.  Luckily they were playing in Miami so it's still mid 70's outside, probably turned out to be a pleasant surprise.  The Dolphins went on to win the game 24-21 on a last second field goal by Dan Carpenter.  Check out the video of the mishap below...

Sprinklers Turn On During Dolphins-Seahawks Game

If there was anything to show how embarrassing the Miami Dolphins have been this season, this video may be it. Against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, the stadium field’s sprinklers erupted out of nowhere in the third quarter. Looks like Miami tried to pull off a fast one like that Buffalo Wild Wings commercial: [Cosby Sweaters] Original article: Sprinklers Turn On During...

Week 12 AFC East game picks: Seahawks at Dolphins

Lead writer Nick St. Denis and AFC East Daily contributors Dan Begnoche and Sean Donovan pick the Miami Dolphins' home contest against the NFC's Seattle Seahawks. Nick's take: Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is coming off his second straight rookie game, and he'll need to turn it around fast facing a defense that will certainly pin its ears back against the young...

Week 12: Seahawks at Dolphins (Game Thread)

Headed into their bye week back in mid-October, the Dolphins were riding on a respectable 4-3 record, but since then they've lost their last three games to drop their record to 4-6. Miami's offense is pretty bad.  Their rookie QB Ryan Tannehill has thrown a combined five interceptions in his last two games, he hasn't completed at least 60% of his passes since week...

Dolphins Gameplan: Protecting the football is key to Dolphins victory

The Miami Dolphins have done something very well during their 3 game losing streak….they’ve turned the ball over.  The Dolphins have turned the ball over 7 times in the last 3 games and not created a turnover on defense.  That, if you’re scoring at home, is the perfect recipe to losing football games.  Every coach in the NFL will tell you that winning the turnover battle...
