The New England Patriots ran the ball on 13 out of 16 plays during a 7 minute drive in their win over the Dolphins last Sunday. The repetitive running plays bothered some Dolphins, Brian Biggane of the Palm Beach Post reports.
It was very disappointing, linebacker Karlos Dansby said Thursday. Instead of getting two yards they were getting four, and instead of us getting off the field they were getting first downs.
Dansby blamed the inability to force a fourth down on technique errors.
Like I might have been a half-step over from where I should have been, he said. As a result we werent executing. We were just a little out of place.
Six of the 13 runs were in exactly the same hole, over left guard. That didnt sit well with reserve tackle Tony McDaniel, who was the only lineman to have a tackle in the series.
It really (ticked) me off, he said. It was disrespectful to us to run the same play over and over and be successful.
Normally when somebodys driving down the field you just think, Well, they just had a good run there, but you run the same play over and over, as a competitor that (ticks) me off.
It is disrespectful, tackle Randy Starks agreed, but youve got to stop it. We never stopped it, so Id keep running the same play, too. Source: The Redzone Attached Thumbnails

Pitiful Picks: Dolphins in for a physical fight, can they win?
The Miami Dolphins are about to have their toughest physical test of the season. Though the playoffs are a distant hope at this point, it’s important that they play well and improve each week as they head into the offseason. The primary thing I want to see if the continued development of Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill and the Dolphins offense will have a tough matchup today against...

Patriots hoping for return of two key players
With six straight victories and their fourth consecutive AFC East title already wrapped up, the New England Patriots are playing perhaps their best football of the season.
And a large chunk of their recent run has come without two of their top players.
So, imagine the big boost the Patriots will receive from having one of their best players on each side of the ball return for what...
Talib vs Johnson will decide MNF encounter
As we all know, for the past few years the New England Patriots pass defense has been... let's say "shaky". However, with the decision made by Bill Belichick to bring in some experience by trading for Aqib Talib, the situation has improved... slightly. Well, he had a pick six on his debut, so there's an improvement. And Talib has played against the best. And he...
Aqib Talib Must Improve on Slow Start to Patriots Career for New England to Stop Andre Johnson on Monday Night
The Patriots’ pass defense has improved since Aqib Talib came to Foxboro, but surprisingly, he’s been the weak link in the New England secondary.
It will be key for Talib to play the best game of his brief Patriots career while he’s matched up against the Texans’ star wide receiver, Andre Johnson. After an off year plagued by injuries in 2011, Johnson has come roaring back...
Dolphins Defense Upset Because ‘Disrespectful’ Patriots Ran Same Play Over and Over in Week 13 Win
The Patriots beat the Dolphins 23-16 on Sunday, but the manner in which it was done isn’t sitting well with some of the Miami players.
When the Patriots put the game away in the fourth quarter on a 16-play, 77-yard drive that ended with a field goal to ice the game, they did so thanks to a run-heavy attack. Of the 16 plays, 13 were running plays and what’s more, six of those...

Fantasy Forecast: Week 14
QB Tom Brady
The Texans haven’t been stalwarts against the pass, giving up 230+ yards per game and 20 scores on the season. Opening up running lanes against this defense will be tough, so don’t be surprised to see Brady put the ball in the air at least 40 times. That should equate to 300+ yards and at least two scores.

So Much For The Baby Weight
Congratulations to Tom Brady and Gisele who welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Vivian, into the world today. Gisele has been a big advocate for working out during pregnancy, saying that she believes women allow themselves to become “garbage disposals” while they are pregnant. Apparently it works for her because here she is shortly after giving birth to the couples...
Patriots' stout third-down offense to face tough test
BThe New England Patriots have put together some pretty impressive stats this season — averaging more than 35 points per game, boasting a plus-24 takeaway rating. Most impressive, however, many be the offense's success on third down. Since the mid-'90s, New England has put up some stellar numbers on third down, but it's never finished with higher than a 50 percent conversion...
Gameday Deciding Factors: Dolphins at 49ers
Coming off a painful loss to a division rival, the Miami Dolphins (5-7) must travel cross-country to face one of the NFL's most complete teams in the San Francisco 49ers (8-3-1). Ryan Tannehill leads a struggling offense on the road against the league's No. 2 ranked defense, all while being without his best offensive lineman, Jake Long. Miami's defense faces the multidimensional...
