The Miami Dolphins lost several players to injury during
yesterday’s 24-3 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, including running back
Daniel Thomas, cornerback Nolan Carroll and tight end Charles Clay, reports
Miami entered the game knowing it wouldn't have wide
receiver Davone Bess (back) and linebacker Koa Misi (ankle). But during the
game the Dolphins also lost running back Daniel Thomas and cornerback Nolan
Carroll and tight end Charles Clay to knee injuries. That meant Miami ended the
game without three regular starters (Bess, Misi, Carroll) and two key reserves
(Thomas and Clay).
Not much has been released regarding the player’s injuries,
but the Sentinel notes that if Thomas is forced to miss time he will likely be
replaced by rookie running back Lamar Miller. Carroll’s replacement would be
either R.J. Stanford or Bryan McCann.
Beyond Thomas, Carroll and Clay, the Dolphins also lost
offensive lineman John Jerry and safety Chris Clemons to injury during the
contest. Both players were able to return.
