Back-to-back losses in overtime were starting to play on the Miami Dolphins' minds. Sure, they could point out that they'd played well, only to give those games away. And they could try to look at them as flukes, two weeks of last-minute disappointments that couldn't possibly be repeated. Could they? With a third straight game on the line Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium, the Dolphins answered their own question with an interception. Reshad Jones picked off Andy Dalton's overthrown pass at midfield with 1:22 left, preserving a 17-13 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals that ended those two weeks of Miami misery. ''In the back of your mind, you hope that it doesn't show up again,'' receiver Brian Hartline said. ''With that being said, we got over that hump.'' Miami (2-3) had led at halftime before losing to the New York Jets and Arizona in overtime. The last one really stung - rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill had a fumble that hel...

Tannehill proves a quick study

The knock on Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill entering training camp was that his lack of college experience would cause him to struggle with the speed of the NFL game and give him difficulty in learning how to read pro defenses. Five games into Tannehill's career as the Dolphins' starter, his ability to read defenses and make the right line checks and audibles...

Ryan Tannehill playing without protective gear on thumb

Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill who had been nursing a right thumb injury will not be wearing any protective wraps on his hand. According to Armando Salguero Tannehill looks fine in practice. Tannehill had been listed as probable on the injury report but there was little reason to doubt that he would play this week against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are...

Tannehill knocked out of Miami's win

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was injured on the Miami Dolphins' second possession of the game. The Indianapolis Colts lost cornerback Vontae Davis to a sprained left knee on the Tennessee Titans' opening drive. Fantasy Football Week 5 Preview: Dolphins at Bengals

Miami: Ryan Tannehill finally had a breakout game last week, throwing for over 400 yards against a pretty good Cardinals secondary. Now he faces off with a defense that ranks in the bottom half of the league in passing yards per game, and a Bengals offense that ranks in the top 10, so that means Tannehill likely will have to throw the ball to keep pace. You probably have a better...

Is A.J. Green and Andy Dalton The NFL’s Best Young QB-WR Combo?

Cincinnati Bengals’ second year wide receiver from Georgia A.J. Green was named by the NFL as AFC Offensive Player of the Month Thursday.  He nearly achieved a triple crown of sorts in for September showdowns. Dolphins win but still plenty to improve

The Dolphins did exactly what they couldn’t do last week; they were able to come away with an underdog road win this week finally finishing a game. The Dolphins once again controlled most of the ball a game but the difference was this week their defense was able to close. This game was eerily similar to last week’s Cardinals game as the Dolphins still gave the Bengals a chance...

Miami Dolphins vs. Cincinnati Bengals: Hero and Zero of the Game

With the score 7-6 at halftime in favor of the Dolphins, the game could have been considered a snore.  Both the Cincinnati and Miami offenses were looking problematic, struggling to stay on the field and incapable of carrying the ball. The game would not get too much better in the second half as both teams would combine to score only 17 more points, 10 of those going to Miami...
