Found July 23, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
The ink on Mike Wallace's contract in Miami is barely dry. His 5 year, $60,000,000 deal is one of the most lucrative wide receiver deals in league history.Since Dolphins sophomore QB Ryan Tannehill started playing pitch-and-catch with his new best friend, rumors have swirled around the league that chemistry just isn't there. Wallace's hands are sloppy and that "it" factor every team hopes for in their $60 million man hasn't shown up yet. Most recently the Sun Sentinel reports that the man who has earned his paychecks by making corners look slower than Rich Eisen, hasn't broken any ankles this offseason.I had my doubts about Wallace moving to the AFC East. Ive spent several fall evenings watching Patriots linebackers chase Ben Roethlisberger outside the pocket. Unlike Big Ben, the young Mr. Tannehill is not looking forward to JD Clowney entering the NFL. Tannehill doesn't move outside the pocket as Ben does, and here in lies the Wallace dilemma. Mike Wallace was able to use his speed to break away from defenders because Roethlisberger gave him the time to do so. I'm not sure Tannehill will ever connect with Wallace as Dolphins fans would like him to.Fantasy Impact: I have Wallace ranked as a high-end WR4. As this news is not necessarily breaking, more analytic, I'm not going to move his name down the board. He had similar risk and upside as a player like Torrey Smith has - I like Torrey more.(On another note: I don't think any NFL QB is looking forward to JD Clowney going pro.)

  • Sounds like a Pittsburgh fan with a sour grapes issue
  • This is Such a Pittsburg Fan it's Funny. How this even got published is Funny. Ryan T.'s speed in question about getting around the corner - Wallace having a hard time creating space.. He must be watching something different than I am.. Maybe he needs glasses and needs to stop his man crush with Ben R. and actually write about what IS happening..

Newcomer Wallace off to fast start with Dolphins

Mike Wallace sprung from his stance, wiggled once and accelerated past an outclassed defensive back with the ease of a Saturday morning cartoon character going ''beep-beep.'' That wasn't the only time Wallace sped into the clear during the first two days of Miami Dolphins training camp. He has started fast with his new team. Yes, there have been miscommunications...

Miami Dolphins kick off rookie haircut hazing with horrible dye jobs

The official start of NFL training camp reminds us that football season is just around the corner. Thomas Not Conceding Anything

Ever since Reggie Bush left the Dolphins as a free agent to join the Detroit Lions, the focus at the running back position has been squarely on Lamar Miller. Big things are being predicted for the second-year player from the University of Miami. But what about the other running backs on the Miami? What, more specifically, about Daniel Thomas?

Brandon Gibson Fitting in Well in the Middle at Miami

Fantasy football owners, especially those participating in point per catch leagues, may want to consider using a late round flyer on first year Dolphin wide receiver Brandon Gibson. Gibson, a fifth-year pro from Washington Sate University, signed with the Dolphins after spending four years with the St. Louis Rams. Although he never caught more that 53 balls in a season and failed...
