Week 7 of the NFL season presents me with quite the matchup. My favorite team sits 0-5, with Matt Moore quarterbacking, and Andrew Luck sitting there for the taking. They play the Broncos today, starting the most decorated player to ever attend my alma mater, a guy who basically is worthless in the pros according to experts (and several afternoon drive talk show guys who are basing it solely on dicks like Mel Kiper).

Now, I’ve never been low enough to root against my own team, but after 10 years of just absolute suck, I find myself wishing we could get the days of Jay Fielder back. The Dolphins just need to clean house and Andrew Luck is just the type guy to make things roll in that direction.

I also want to see Tebow flick off all the naysayers on the way to a successful NFL career (I do have my own doubts, but I think he has the tools to be very successful)

So who am I going for today? The simple answer is both. I want to see the Dolphins do great, I won’t be torn to see them lose week in and out, but I can’t bring myself to go against my own team. I wouldn’t be upset of Timmy threw for a couple TDs and made the Dolphins front seven look stupid either (because, you know, every other team has).

Regardless, it should be the most anticipated game between two teams that are a combined 1-9, we’ve seen in awhile…

Go Phins. Go Tebow.
