Former Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell was at the Miami Dolphins training facility on Monday according to Omar Kelly on Twitter, and left without a contract.
Russell was one of several free-agent quarterbacks the team brought in on Monday after both Chad Henne and Chad Pennington went down with serious injuries against Tennessee on Sunday. .
The Dolphins won't sign Russell in fact.
They have instead signed 31-year old quarterback Patrick Ramsey, according to the NFL Network.
Ramsey is a former first-round draft pick of the Washington Redskins (2002) and has since played for the Jets, Broncos, Titans, Lions and Jaguars.
The team announced that Pennington is out for the season with a shoulder injury and was placed on injured reserve.
