Jeff Darlington of the NFL Network reports that Dolphin players are ”starting to wonder about this offensive gameplan.“ “Let me not overstate this: The locker room is still together,” Darlington said on Tuesday. ”There’s still a good vibe in there. I talked to several players today and they still feel like they can get this season back on track. “However, there is some question of what offensive coordinator Mike Sherman is starting to do and it really started to come to a head after Sunday’s loss to the Patriots.” Miami’s offense managed to put up 17 points on New England as they headed to the locker room at halftime, but that is where the offensive production ended for them on Sunday. The Patriots would go on to score 24 unanswered points and ultimately come away with a solid win. If there are any concerns regarding their second-half game plan it surely has to do with getting away from the run. Miami totaled 122 yards on 22 carries in the first-half, and despite the lead, they only ran the six times in the third and fourth quarters. That alone is cause for concern. Darlington isn’t suggesting that the team is ready to shake things up from a coaching standpoint, but it makes sense that there would be some questions after a big letdown like that.
