Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore was named a candidate for the NFL’s FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week for his impressive performance in Sunday’s 35-8 rout of the Buffalo Bills.
Moore, who completed 14 of 20 passes for 160 yards and threw three touchdown passes, finished the game with a 133.3 passer rating, which was the highest rating of any player last week.
His competition for the award is Dallas’ Tony Romo, whom the Dolphins will face this week in Thursday’s game, and Detroit’s Matt Stafford.
Romo completed 23 of 37 passes for 292 yards and threw three touchdowns in the Cowboys’ 27-24 overtime victory over the Washington Redskins.
Stafford connected on 77.8 percent of his passes for 335 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions in the Lions’ 49-35 win over the Carolina Panthers.
This is Moore’s second time being up for the FedEx Air Honor, which the fans vote on weekly by visiting this site.
