Dolphins embracing move to Moore

IRVING, Texas For a couple years at Valley Ranch, no one wanted to mention the name Matt Moore. The Dallas Cowboys had signed Moore to a free-agent rookie contract in '07 and despite his strong play in the preseason, they gambled that he would clear waivers and end up on their practice squad. The Carolina Panthers foiled that plan by signing Moore to their 53-man roster and...

Talk to any of Matt Moore's Dolphins teammates and there's one consistent point that gets mentioned about the team's new starting quarterback. "He's got poise," tailback Reggie Bush says. "We all had a lot to learn on the fly, getting used to a new quarterback. He's doing a great job of handling everything that's been thrown at him."

Matt Moore is the new Kyle Orton

Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore is the new Kyle Orton.  I mean that as a compliment. He’s the guy no franchise fully wants starting in Week One, but he’s proven that he belongs in the NFL. Moore probably has a higher ceiling than Orton, who has won 33 games as a starter and is earning $9…

Dolphins 35, Bills 8

The Miami Dolphins were playing primarily for pride by the fourth quarter, which is what their bizarre season is all about now. So the defense dug in, mounting a goal-line stand that preserved a 29-point lead against the reeling Buffalo Bills. The defense also set up two touchdowns with interceptions, Matt Moore threw for three scores, and the Dolphins' improbable midseason...

Patriots RB Danny Woodhead hasn’t gotten many opportunities this season. The Jets’ playoff hopes got a boost by Sunday’s results. WR Torrey Smith had…
