Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill left Sunday's game against the New York Jets in the first quarter with a left quadriceps and a knee injury, according to NFL.com. Tannehill was injured when Jets linebacker Calvin Pace sacked him on a third-down play. Tannehill limped off the field after the sack and was looked at by Dolphins trainers. Matt Moore replaced Tannehill. The rookie quarterback's return is questionable.

  • Well Miami doesn't really have a back up q. For a first year q getting his knee fouled up by a linebacker make this a hit man game . All the other team has to do is injure the QB and the season is over . I guess one has to ask why was he sacked . Anyway , football is a dangerous game . In the old era of football a qb stayed in the pocket and this was wll protected or else . Very few QB removed themselves from the pocket. Great QB and receivers would have timed plays and if
the players were not in the position in the time , the qb would throw the ball out of bounds . Timed plays like Johnny U and R Berry allowed either a completion of a busted play . The point is new or not so good QB has to look at the play and judge the throwing . The timing is not down. Matt Moore is not a Good QB per the skill set of the NFL . I would like to see their 3rd string QB as he looked good pre season. Anyway , maybe this is a good situation as any good team has to have an excellent 2nd QB and right now that is not Moore . Six games and then he is done . Well , Moore lead them to one of the worse seasons last yr.
