This past Sunday the then 0-3 Miami Dolphins suffered an injury of epic proportions at the hands of the San Diego Chargers. Star quarterback Chad Henne separated his non-throwing shoulder, potentially putting him out for the season. (Even though Henne says he’s fine and got the okay from the doctor, the Dolphins want a second opinion…to um, protect their 0-fer record)
Without Henne the Dolphins have quite the conumdrum, start Matt Moore, or just snap the ball to the running back 60 times a game. That’s not going to assure a devasting record. In response, the Dolphins have reached out to several quarterbacks to replace the potentially Andrew Luck clinching injury to Henne. The most notable name has been that of David Garrard.
Garrard was released by the Jaguars back in August after 8 seasons in Jacksonville. He made a career by showing flashes of brilliance surrounded by head scratching, dog beating, WTF play. Put bluntly, he was the poster Mark Sanchez kept on his wall in college.
The other quarterbacks getting looks from Miami?
Jake Delhomme (Respectfully declined)
Kellen Clemens
Matt Gutierrez
Andrew Luck
Suck for Luck…in full effect.
