Armstrong had 44 catches for 871 yards with the Washington Redskins in 2010, but only seven receptions for them last season.

Dolphins Division: Dolphins look to claim share of AFC East lead

The Miami Dolphins took their first big step in putting themselves in position to make a run at a playoff spot in the AFC. The Dolphins win over the Jets evened their divisional record at 1-1 and improved their conference record to 3-2. BOTH will be important when late December rolls around and playoff spots are determined.  Additionally, the Dolphins win over the Jets, knocked...

Miami Dolphins contender or pretender?

It has been four years since the Miami Dolphins have been interesting. Hats off to rookie head coach Joe Philbin and rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill for having such a positive impact on an organization that many didn’t want anything to do with. They even needed Chad Johnson and Lauren Tannehill just to make HBO’s Hard Knocks relevant. Regardless, the Dolphins are in the playoff...

Are the Miami Dolphins contending for a playoff berth?

I know what you are thinking. I know this is a site for opinions and highlights and lowlights of our Dolphins. This blogger must be crazy and is not well qualified with the gift of prognostication.  This blogger does not have ESP. Bare with me a second, the Miami Dolphins are 4-3 and far from the Super Bowll, but they are on track for the playoffs.  With a big win over...

A Minor (But Important) Change to Dolphin Shout

I am pleased to announce another change in the evolution of Dolphin Shout. Unlike other changes we've done recently, though, this will have almost no effect on the site. It is more of a formality... Come here for the best Miami Dolphins blog on the web. We have all of the most up to date new and opinions on the Dolphins organization for its fans.

Tannehill practices with Dolphins on limited basis

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is practicing on a limited basis after leaving Sunday's victory over the New York Jets in the first quarter with left knee and thigh injuries. Tannehill wore a brace and thigh-to-ankle sleeve on his left leg for Wednesday's workout. He participated in passing drills, but backup Matt Moore took the snaps with the starters at the beginning...

Dolphins Injury Report: Ryan Tannehill Update

Ryan Tannehill acknowledged that if needed he probably could have re-entered Sunday's game against the New York Jets.  However, he was not needed.  The woeful Jets could do nothing against Miami, so there was no sense in risking Tannehill further.  An MRI was still scheduled after he was knocked out of the game with a knee injury.  Tannehill went for the MRI yesterday. ...

Surprising Dolphins in thick of AFC playoff race

The Miami Dolphins' starting quarterback is hurt, their running game is in a slump and they've been outgained by nearly a quarter of a mile in the past two games. Yet they're winning. Three consecutive victories have left the Dolphins (4-3) above .500 for the first time, and they begin preparations for Sunday's game at Indianapolis in the thick of the AFC playoff...

Dolphins QB Tannehill hopeful he can return this week

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is having an MRI Monday, a day after leaving the game against the New York Jets with a hyperextended left knee and deep thigh bruise. Tannehill exited in the first quarter of Sunday's 30-9 victory after twisting the knee while getting sacked by Calvin Pace. He had an X-ray after the game. Matt Moore filled in for Tannehill the remainder...

Dolphins uncertain about Tannehill after MRI shows bruises

Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin in unsure of the status of quarterback Ryan Tannehill for Week 9. When the rookie left the game with an injury Matt Moore stepped in and Dolphins went on to a 30-9 win. Speaking at the post game press conference Philbin said he never thought about allowing Tannehill to return against the Jets. Would the coach let Tannehill play if he was not 100 percent...

Dolphins' Bush says if Jets don't like him, tough

The Miami Dolphins don't play the archrival New York Jets again this year, yet the barbs keep coming. Three days after the Dolphins' emotional 30-9 road win against the Jets, Miami running back Reggie Bush revisited his feud with cornerback Antonio Cromartie. Following a succession of verbal jabs last week between the teams, Bush gave Cromartie a vicious stiff-arm in the...

Ryan Tannehill Returns To Practice

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill was back at practice on Wednesday and was taking snaps with the first-team offense. There was some concern that he could miss Week 9′s matchup against the Colts due to a bruised knee and quad, but those injuries do not appear to be anything major. The Dolphins can always turn to Matt Moore if Tannehill...

Dolphins like Tannehill more than Colts' Luck

DAVIE, Fla. -- The "Suck for Luck" campaign was in full force a year ago. The Miami Dolphins were 0-7 and in position to land Andrew Luck with the top pick in the NFL draft. It didn't happen. The Dolphins suddenly turned matters around and finished 6-10. Indianapolis ended up with the highly touted quarterback. But the Dolphins have come out OK. They managed to get...
