Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito again is in the news for a physical encounter, this time off the field. The Palm Beach Post, citing a police report, said Wednesday that Incognito received a trespassing warning on June 10 -- before training camp -- after an alleged fight with a security guard at Club Liv in Miami Beach. News of the club fight came four days after Incognito was involved in an incident during Saturday night's preseason game at Houston. Texans defensive end Antonio Smith ripped off the Dolphins guard's helmet and swung it, narrowly missing Incognito's head. On Wednesday, the NFL suspended Smith for the remaining preseason games and Week 1 of the regular season. Houston general manager Rick Smith said Smith planned to appeal. According to the Post, the report said Incognito and friends of his were trying to get close to a performer on stage at Liv when a security guard asked them to step back. Somebody from Incognitos group allegedly cursed at the security guard and a fight ensued. Incognito, who reportedly said he was trying to break up the fight when he got hit in the face by a guard, was escorted out of the club along with his entourage. The Post reported Incognito received a trespassing warning by Miami Beach police and was advised not to return, according to police. ESPN reported there was video of the incident but the hotel was refusing to share it with the NFL. The league declined comment, but Incognito may still have violated the league's personal conduct policy. Charlie McCarthy can be reached at or on Twitter @mccarthy_chas.
