The Miami Dolphins have signed former New Orleans Saints inside linebacker Marvin Mitchell, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Mitchell is a former Saints seventh-round draft pick who played collegiately at Tennessee. Mitchell, 26, signed a three-year contract in 2007 and was assigned to the practice squad. He was promoted as a rookie when Scott Fujita got hurt. The 6-foot-3, 249-pounder recorded 46 tackles, two forced fumbles and one sack last season in 16 games for New Orleans.
