The Dolphins have announced the signing of veteran offensive lineman Ray Willis. Undrafted rookie Micah Kia has been waived.
Willis was a fourth-round pick out of Florida State by the Seattle Seahawks in 2005. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound lineman appeared in 12 games his first three seasons in the NFL before started 26 of 32 games over 2008 and 2009, mostly at right guard and right tackle, where Willis started all 16 games in 2009.
Listed as a guard entering last season, Willis spent the entire season on injured reserve with a knee injury.
The 29-year-old adds veteran depth behind a right side of an offensive line that is projected to start Vernon Carey at guard and Marc Colombo at tackle.
Willis worked out for the New York Giants earlier this week.
