This afternoon, the Miami Dolphins addressed their needs at guard with the signing of Eric Steinbach.  The story was broken by Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post.A veteran of 9 years in the league, Steinbach brings durability and consistency to the position of guard sorely needed on the Miami Dolphins.  Steinbach has started 124 of 125 games until being out with a back injury requiring surgery for the entire 2011 season.  Steinbach played for the Bengals and then Browns before being cut.The former second rounder out of Iowa is no stranger to coach Joe Philbin, as coach Philbin was his line coach at Iowa.Steinbach expects to compete at Right Guard in order to fulfill a role on the Dolphins new zone-blocking scheme and may even have a greater chance to start due to the uncertainty that surrounds John Jerry and his overall fitness and fit for the newly revamped offensive line. With Steinbach in the fold, it could be very encouraging to have a vet paired with rookie right tackle Jonathan M...

As the Cleveland Browns start training camp,I think back to last season and the 4-12 record that the Browns were able to put together. Yes it was a long, losing, miserable, boring year. The Cleveland Browns Backers parties that I attended in Arlington, TX dwindled down week after week. The enthusiasm when the Browns season started eventually turned sour by week 10 when they lost...

Oh, he’s back alright. Chad Johnson, the receiver formerly known as Chad Ochocinco, is back doing what he does best. No, not catching touchdown passes, it has been about 4 or 5 years since he did that really well. Sorry Miami Dolphins fans, we are talking about him speaking with the media. Chad, who changed [...]

Progress However Slow? Spawn of Modell-Conspirator in “private negotiations” over sale of Browns to Top Republican Fundraiser/Global Warming Profiteer/Avowed “1,000% Steelers Fan”

Either Plato is being put to the ultimate test here, or there’s something worse than a Modell-Conspirator. Either way, now would be just about the time for an oilman to join the ranks of Cleveland sports ownership. Additionally, James Haslam III (“Jimmy”), with whom Randy Lerner is currently in private negotiations regarding an “investment” in the Browns currently owns...
