Free agency is still seconds away from beginning, and yet we've already been dealt the first major move.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dolphins have traded receiver Brandon Marshall to the Bears, where he'll reunite with quarterback Jay Cutler.
The Fins received two third-round picks -- one in 2012, the other in 2013 -- in exchange for the mercurial wideout.
Chicago's new GM, Phil Emery, pulled off a much-needed deal, finally giving Cutler a playmaking threat after years of mediocre talent at the position.
BEST OF MAXIM
Talk about timing! Just hours after the Bears acquired Brandon Marshall from the Dolphins, the New York Post reported that the wide reciever punched a girl in the face at a club on Sunday in New York City.
The Dolphins claim they didn't know about the incident when they shipped his ass to Chicago for two second round picks. (Yeah right, suuurrre ya didn't) Now Marshall could...
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL is set to penalize the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins millions of dollars for front-loading contracts during the uncapped 2010 season. League sources currently set the penalties at approximately $10 million from the Cowboys and $36 million from the Redskins. The teams will have the option to split the penalties over the 2012 and 2013...
At approximately 4:30 Eastern Standard Time, Brandon Marshall the Diva Receiva of the Miami Dolphins was sent packing to Chicago for a pair of 3rd Rounders in the 2012 and 2013 drafts. There was plenty of negativity surrounding this move, but the deal saved the Dolphins 5.8 million dollars in cap space and allowed for the Dolphins to remain competitive for either Peyton Manning or...
When the news of Brandon Marshall being traded to the Chicago Bears for two third round picks broke (1 in 2012 and 1 in 2013), it seemed to me that the Dolphins were throwing away Marshall. He hadn’t been with the team that long, the Dolphins had traded two second round picks to acquire him [...]
The Dolphins didn't get a big return for Brandon Marshall. But for the quarterback-hungry Dolphins, trading him might turn out to be addition by subtraction.
Reunited and it feels so… well, weird for this Denver Broncos fan. Former Broncos BFF’s Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler are about to be teammates again after the Chicago Bears reportedly traded two third round draft picks to the Miami Dolphins to acquire the 27-year-old, high maintenance wideout.
Marshall is the type of tall playmaker the Bears have been looking for since...
Adam Schefter from ESPN has a report on twitter that the Cleveland Browns have signed Frostee Rucker. The former defensive end of the Cincinnati Bengals has a reported new contract worth 21 million with 8 million guaranteed. The 20 million number will scare people but the real money is the 8 million which isn't too much for an average pass rusher in the NFL. The hope for the...

PER ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Packers free agent QB Matt Flynn is scheduled to visit Seattle on Thursday night, into Friday.
Seattle's first QB visit is scheduled for later today with Miami's free-agent Chad Henne, who is in Jacksonville.
This is great news for Seattle. Most thought Chad Henne was their target in Free Agency after...
Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to terms with free agent wide receiver Randy Moss on a one-year deal Monday evening. The signing of Moss should put to an end the notion that the 49ers will make a run at Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace, should the two sides not reach a long term deal by the start of free...
