The Miami Dolphins tried out veteran cornerbacks Fabian Washington and Rod Hood, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Washington was placed on injured reserve with the New Orleans Saints with a hamstring injury and an injury settlement was reached, making him a free agent Washington is a former Oakland Raiders first-round draft pick from Nebraska. Hood, 29, has 234 tackles and 14 interceptions. Hood has previous stints with the Philadelphia Eagles, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans and the Chicago Bears.
