Fantasy Football Champs:
According to Jorge Castillo of the Newark Star-Ledger, Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said Domenik Hixon will start the season as the team's No. 3 receiver.Fantasy Spin:Hixon has played in just two games in the last two seasons due to multiple knee injuries. He's not much of a fantasy option, as he's likely just a figurehead third receiver instead of someone who will actually compete for major targets. Expect Eli Manning to spread the departed Mario Manningham's targets around to Hixon, Rueben Randle, Jerrel Jernigan, Ramses Barden and Martellus Bennett.

Almost two weeks ago, the media grabbed two fabricated horns on the New York Giants franchise and attempted to run as far as possible with the “stories.” It’s in quotes because there honestly wasn’t much substance to the simple fact that a video of football players in a camp locker/training room had their brand of antics make its way into the social media stream and then...
The New York Giants shocked a lot of fans and sports writers (including myself) with some of the roster moves this week.I’ve listed my top four surprise moves by the Giants and by no means am I criticizing the moves. As a Giants fan and sports writer, I had my own take on what the final roster would look like (along with many other writers and fans that follow the Giants).RB Andre...
Needless to say, New York Giants wide receiver Domenik Hixon has had a rough go of it over the last two seasons. Not only has he torn his ACL twice in as many years, but the emergence of Victor Cruz, along with the addition of Rueben Randle got many thinking that Hixon's days with Big Blue could be numbered. However, today, offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride announced that...
IRVING Rob Ryan hasn't burned the film from the two games the Cowboys played against the New York Giants last season. It would be hard to blame the Cowboys defensive coordinator if he did. The Giants' offense totaled 947 yards and 66 points in two victories over the Cowboys.
But Ryan said Monday that his group has learned from those losses.
"This is as tough of an...

Former New York Giants center Shaun O’Hara has officially announced his retirement from the NFL.
The Giants let O’Hara go last season and then he had one work out with the Dolphins and then no other teams showed much interest. He held a press conference today to reflect on his long career.

New York Giants linebacker Michael Boley (hamstring), rookie cornerback Jayron Hosley (toe) and left tackle Will Beatty (back) all practiced on Saturday and have a good chance at playing in Wednesday’s season opener.
Both Marvin Austin (back) and Prince Amukamara (ankle) didn’t practice and likely won’t place this week.
LB Michael Boley (hamstring) was limited at practice...
According to Mike Vorkunov of the Newark Star-Legder, Sean Locklear will start at left tackle for the New York Giants on Wednesday night.
“Locklear will be protect Eli Manning’s blind side on Wednesday night instead of projected starter Will Beatty, according to someone informed of the team’s plans for this week’s game.
“The person, who requested anonymity because...
Preseason is over and the one glaring signal coming out of preseason is the NFC East is most likely going to send one of its teams to the Super Bowl. It’s not based on the play of the offenses in the division, but the play of the defenses. Specifically the pass rush of the every [...]
Quarterback Eli Manning was obviously locked in and backup David Carr was as close to locked in as you can get because the only other quarterback competing for a spot was Ryan Perriloux and he never really made it much of a battle for the backup job. He was cut as the Giants decided once again to only carry two quarterbacks this season. Punter Brian Weatherford will...
Have you ever opened a brand new pack of Starburst only to find that most of them are yellow? It’s easily one of the worst feelings ever, but even worse is realizing that one or two of your key WRs are going up against one of the top cornerbacks in the league. Matchups play a key role in fantasy football and if you want to be the best, you need to keep your eye out for matchups...

The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are enemies. It's natural, of course, because they've been division rivals for decades. But the enmity New Yorkers have for the Cowboys runs deeper than just sharing the...
