It seems as if Don Shula has gone soft on his Asterisk suggestion for the Pats. He's done a 180 on the situation. Makes you wonder if someone reminded him of any skeletons that may be still in the closet from '72.

  • Hardly a 180... If you actually listen to the original interview, he didn't back off what he said at all. He clarified his original position, that the sanctions by the league will tarnish the Pats legacy. And, to some extent, probably miniscule in my opinion, they will... they will at least be mentioned every time this season is discussed, whatever happens in January. And, though he said it wasn't up to him to place an asterisk or not, he certainly didn't say it SHOULDN'T be there.
  • That would be nice if someone could dig up the old rule book and compare the way the game was played then and how it is played now..I mean guys used to play with their arms almost completely dislocated and was there such thing as a personal foul? ;) Coaches don't cover their mouths when they call plays for nothing thats for sure.
