Donald Driver has been an integral part of the Green Bay Packers offense for the past 10 seasons. Drafted in the 7th round of the 1999 NFL Draft out of Alcorn State, Driver became a favorite target of quarterbacks Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. Entering what will be his 14th season as an NFL wide receiver, Driver is an unrestricted free agent. Having seen a decline in production over each of his last three seasons in Green Bay, Driver knows that he is no longer a No. 1 option for the Packers on offense.
But even with all of that being said, he is not ready to retire or leave Lambeau Field. Not any time soon, at least.
Driver said that he is more than willing to take a pay cut to remain with the only franchise for which he has ever played. Driver has the most receptions and receiving yards in Packers’ history, although he will not catch Don Hutson, who holds the record for most receiving touchdowns in franchise history with 99 over his 11 year career.
