ADP ( average draft position) is the term that refers to what rounds players are being selected in mock drafts. It has long been one of the best tools to predict what players may end up on your team based on what position you are drafting from. Too often though, people will live and die by ADP rankings during their drafts.
Some fantasy football owners have even attempted to use ADP rankings to determine values for players in trades, which is completely ludicrous. The best way to approach ADP is to use it simply as a guide and nothing more. Look at your personal rankings, which players you are targeting, and what rounds they are going in.
The worst thing you could do is not get the player you want simply based on his ADP. If you want to take Tony Romo in the 4rth round (which is a few rounds higher than his current ADP) because you think this is the year then by all means do it. You are the G.M. of your team, so manage it any way that you would like- after all, you’re the one that has to run the team for the next four months.
The same thing happens In the NFL drafts. We have seen so called reaches turn into superstars and safe picks turn out to be busts. Similarly to fantasy ADP rankings, most incoming pro prospects have a pre-draft grade. Do you think an NFL owner or G.M. will pick a player based on what all the draftniks and mockdrafts are saying?..NO! They will use them strictly as guides for what other teams might be thinking on players, but will pick who they believe is the best player based on their own research and scouts.
Though ADP rankings are useful tools, they should only be used as a guideline for determining the approximate value that the majority of fantasy football owners are placing on particular players. The most successful fantasy football owners will consider many other factors as well.

THAT'S MY TEAMMATE
Despite the ugly offseason Dez Bryant has gotten himself wrapped up in that has left the Cowboys pondering his future, his quarterback is still supporting him.
Dallas quarterback Tony Romo loves losing to the New York Giants. Romo's gone looking for a slump-buster, but can't seem to score. The last time the Cowboys' QB won against the Giants was back in 2008.
Romo has managed to lose five straight games to the Super Bowl champion Giants.
Losing five in a row to any team is an embarrassment.
Primarily, consecutive losses to...

Tony Romo played a little golf at the Lake Tahoe Golf Tourney yesterday, but fell short of the winners circle. After being the runner up for the last 3 seasons, he finished 5th on Sunday. Right now we have him ranked 7th at QB for fantasy reasons, but if Dez doesn’t step up and Austin stay healthy, it could be tricky proposition.

About a week ago we started this series on the NFL's most underrated quarterbacks by looking at San Francisco's Alex Smith; and next up is someone who took quite a different path to being under appreciated: the Dallas Cowboys' Tony Romo.
Unlike Smith, Romo was not the first overall draft pick. In fact, he was never picked at all in the 2003 Draft, and ended up signed...

Bryant had turned himself in to police on Monday after a warrant for his arrest was issued that accused him of assaulting his mother. Tony Romo threw for 4,184 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2011, but the Dallas Cowboys finished the season slower than a fat kid riding uphill on a bicycle without tires.
December meltdowns in Dallas are becoming tradition. The Cowboys are yet to finish with a winning record in December since Romo took over starting duties in 2006.
Romo finished with a .500 December record in 2006,...
Dez Bryant has gotten himself in hot water, but his quarterback Tony Romo isn't going to jump ship anytime soon.
