Full Donte: Checking in with 49ers safety Donte WhitnerBy Cam Inman, Bay Area News GroupSafety Donte Whitner probably wasn't trying to take a shot at the Seattle Seahawks and their coach Pete Carroll during an interview leading up to the 49ers' game against the Giants for the NFC Championship. That was the upshot of part of his interview with Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group, though.Whitner was asked about a comment he made that he didn't care what the New York Giants were saying, pointing out that Jim Harbaugh's consistent message has been that the only thing that matters is what takes place on the field:"When we first came in to training camp, he told us the story of one other team, I think Seattle,, or one of these teams, was out at some park go-cart riding and stuff and we got 212 snaps in that day." -- Donte WhitnerFor the record, the Seahawks did in fact take an afternoon to go go-cart racing in August.
