According the Houston Chronicle’s John McClain, the Houston Texans have agreed to terms with Miami Dolphins quarterback coach Karl Dorrell to become the Texans next quarterback coach. Dorell will be replacing Greg Knapp who left for the Oakland Raiders to become their offensive coordinator. Head Coach Gary Kubiak made in apparent that the Texans would be looking for someone who would be a good fit with starting quarterback Matt Schaub. Dorrell has been with the Dolphins for the past 4 years, as the wide receiver and quarterbacks coach. He was the head coach at UCLA where he posted a 35-27 record in his 5 seasons as the Bruins head coach. He spent time with head coach Gary Kubiak in Denver with they both coached for the Broncos in 2000-2002, Kubiak as the offensive coordinator and Dorrell as the wide receiver coach. Dorrell will have to pick up where Knapp left off, with the development of T.J. Yates and improving the play of Schuab in the coming years. It will be interest...
