Doug Martin has taken a lot of grief for his not-so-endearing nickname -- "Muscle Hamster," which was given to him in college. The Bucs' first-year running back wears the name proudly. And that isn't all. ... Wait for it ... https://twitter.com/DougMartin22/status/278705742071083009 Yes, what you see there is the NFL's third-leading rusher and legitimate rookie of the year candidate, decked out in a Christmas-themed jumpsuit. The kicker: he's striking a tough guy pose. There isn't much else to say, other than Martin -- and, while we're at it, Chad Henne -- need to butch up on their fashion sense. I'm hardly a fashionista, but onesies should not, in any instance, be worn once you're old enough to leave the crib. Luckily, Martin has that whole supremely talented thing going for him, likely sparing him from some ribbing. "Some" being the key word.

Warren Sapp wears missing Super Bowl ring to Tampa celebration

Regardless of how much respect we have for both Warren Sapp the player and the entertainer, we would be remiss if we did not point out a potentially glaring faux pas. The potential Hall-Of-Famer was in Tampa this weekend for the Buccaneers game against the Eagles. The contest was enveloped by various ceremonies celebrating the 10th anniversary of the team’s only Super Bowl win...

Doug Martin Is Now A Christmas Hamster

Buccaneers running back and notorious muscle hamster, Doug Martin, appears to have acquired a holiday appropriate onesie. Is he planning to reprise the role of of the angry midget elf from “Bad Santa”? I certainly hope so. Yeah, I know that, at 5’9″, Doug Martin is not actually a midget, just tiny relative to other NFL behemoths. But I imagine it’ll work because the rest...

Sapp lied about losing SB ring?

It looks like Warren Sapp was lying when he said he lost his Super Bowl ring. He seemed to be wearing it at a recent Buccaneers game.

Little kid dances with Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders (VIDEO)

Everybody wants to know how little Johnny got on the field to bust a move with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders.  But he absolutely owned his minute and a half in the sun.  Naturally (and racistly – made up word), the routine broke out in “Gangnam Style”, but then quickly moved into Johnny teaching us all how to Dougie. And while little Johnny’s moves are dynamite...

Bo Jackson believes Buccaneers tried to sabotage his baseball career

Bo Jackson was drafted as the No. 1 overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 1986 NFL draft, but he turned them down and decided to pursue a career in professional baseball. It was always believed that Jackson, who told the Bucs not to draft him, did not want to go to Tampa Bay because of all the negative things he had heard about the organization. But, as I learned on Saturday...

Just when you thought that Psy's hit song "Gangnam Style" had finally died, this clip of little kid dancing to it at last weekend's Tampa Bay Bucs game has brought it back again. Buccaneers struggle to protect leads

The fading Tampa Bay Buccaneers talk about needing to make more plays. Coach Greg Schiano just wants his players to concentrate on doing their jobs at all times. The coach rejected the notion Monday that the Bucs (6-7) failed to protect a fourth-quarter lead for the fourth time this season because they did not make enough plays down the stretch of a last-second 23-21 loss to rookie...

Bucs place Myron Lewis on I.R.

The injury bug does not seem to be leaving the Buccaneers’ locker room anytime soon. The team announced Monday they have placed Myron Lewis on the season ending injured reserve. The team also announced they have waived wide receiver David Gilreath and were awarded guard Hayworth Hicks off of waiver from Kansas City. Here is the information from the team: Since being drafted by...

No love lost between the Philadelphia Eagles linebackers and the departure of the Wide-9

It was no illusion. The Philadelphia Eagles defense played better than they had in weeks in Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It couldn’t have all been because the death knell had been blown to the Wide 9 with the firing of Jim Washburn, could it? Not all, but it certainly didn’t hurt. The linebackers  felt that new d-line coach Tommy Brasher’s more traditional...

Buccaneers-Saints Preview

After blowing another late lead, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' playoff hopes are in serious jeopardy. To make the postseason, the Buccaneers will likely need a string of wins - and will certainly need some help - starting with Sunday's road game against the struggling New Orleans Saints. After its fourth consecutive win Nov. 18, it appeared that Tampa Bay was headed for its...

Bucs comeback wasn’t enough in loss to Eagles

A lackluster performance by the Buccaneers’ offense in the first half proved to be too much to overcome as they fell to the Philadelphia Eagles 23-21 Sunday afternoon. The Buccaneers entered the second half down 10-0 before finally catching a break in the third quarter when Eagles’ returner Damaris Johnson muffed the punt inside the 10 yard line, allowing the Bucs to recover...
