Welcome to another installment of Down and Distance’s Top 5 Fantasy TE’s. We’re heading into week 11 and it’s nitty gritty time, time to roll into your Fantasy Football Playoffs! Last week we killed it, this week we’re hoping to do even better! All points listed (if any) will be pulled from a standard ESPN scoring system. My apologies if you are in a Yahoo! league and they screwed you over last week with their servers crashing. Hopefully they’ve got that corrected this week! 5. Owen Daniels, Texans (Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE) Daniels is making his first stop on the Down and Distance Top TE’s, everyone say hello to Owen. “Hi Owen!” Okay, now that the introductions are over with, lets focus on the match up. The Texans are coming off of a big win against the Bears, and they look to continue their winning ways this week against the Jaguars. Daniels sat out last week at Chicago, but don’t be weary of that. He was a game-time decision and didn’t go. He should return to his average of 13 points a game this week, if not more against a Jaguars defense that has some holes in the middle that Matt Schaub should take advantage of.    4. Jason Witten, Cowboys (AP Photo) The Cowboys are entering November with momentum. They’re coming off of a big division win and things seem to be clicking between Romo and Witten after a few weeks of no connection between the pair. The Cowboys will host the Browns, and as much as I like to thing the Browns will one day turn things around, it just hasn’t been the case. They have improved on defense, but they’re giving up the 30th most fantasy points to Tight Ends this season. Pair that along with Witten’s average of 12 points a game and it should be a nice day for the record holder of most receptions in Cowboys history.   3. Tony Gonzalez, Falcons (Christopher Hanewinckel-US PRESSWIRE) Gonzo finally went off last week for the Falcons. It’s been a long time coming, too. I think the football God’s were just toying with him and making him wait for that 100th touchdown. He got not only the 100th, but also the 101st. Things shouldn’t change this week against the Cardinals as they have surrendered the 27th most points to Tight Ends this year. The Falcons are a little upset that the Saints came and ruined their undefeated season and they’ll be looking to lay it on the Cardinals. Gonzalez should have a solid day, and hopefully grab another pair of scores.   2. Rob Gronkowski, Patriots (Brad Mills-US PRESSWIRE) Gronk moved down a notch on the list. Not because he’s no longer beasting, but because his match up isn’t as good as Grahams. Gronkowski is coming off a solid performance against the Bills where he brought in his fifth touchdown in three games. He wasn’t a focal point of the offense as he usually is, but he’s still a threat. This week the Pats will host the new and improved Colts, who are the second to last ranked team in terms of points allowed to Tight Ends. Last season he put up two touchdowns and over 60 yards. He’s always a threat so therefore he is always a safe start.   1. Jimmy Graham, Saints (AP Photo/Bill Haber) Graham has been here before but it’s been a while. This week, it’s hard to pass him up as the top Tight End to start. He’s going against a Raiders defense that has looked horrendous the last couple of weeks. Drew Brees and the Saints are headed to Oakland at a perfect time. They’re looking to improve their record and try to squeak into the playoffs, albeit a long-shot. Graham had a great game last week against the Falcons where he accounted for 146 yards and two scores against a stingy Falcons defense. If he can do that, I’d imagine he can quadruple that against the Raiders who can’t seem to stop anything. As a Raiders fan, I can tell you right now that Graham will be able to jog his routes, maybe stop for some beers at the bar, and still beat Rolando McClain and Matt Giordiano down the seam. I imagine he’s going to have a great day.   Sleeper: Jermaine Gresham, Bengals: The Bengals have the Chiefs this week, and their defense has been horrible. Gresham and the Bengals beat the defending Super Bowl Champs last week and look to ride the high into their next match up against the lifeless Chiefs. He should put up big numbers against the team that has given up the most points to Tight Ends all season. The post Down the Seam: Top 5 Fantasy TE’s for week 11 appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE.
