Found April 28, 2012 on DraftAce:
The Cincinnati Bengals used 10 picks and managed to land eight players to whom I had given 3rd-round grades or better. This was truly an unprecedented haul for a franchise that needed to make a splash in order to compete with the Steelers and Ravens. Dre Kirkpatrick adds impressive depth to the Bengals secondary Looking at the newly revamped Bengals roster, it’s impossible not to be impressed by the depth at nearly every position. Most of the rookies brought in won’t play significant roles early on, but just having quality depth behind their entrenched starters will make a difference over the course of a 16-game season. You never know when someone will go down with an injury, and the Bengals now have the depth to fill holes as they arise throughout the course of the season. With the help of this draft class, the Bengals should be considered legitimate contenders in the AFC North in 2012.

Bengals Make Bold Statement In Round 2

Positive or negative, there is sure to be plenty of reaction about the statement made by the Bengals’ war room on Day 2 of the 2012 draft. It is a statement we might expect to hear from a head coach that came up as a Defensive Coordinator: “You are not going to run on us!” In a division featuring Ray Rice — who has gashed the Bengals several times — and now Trent Richardson...

2012 Cincinnati Bengals Draft Grade

When do we start talking about the Bengals in the same breath as other top level teams on draft day, or do we need to see them compete for another year or two before we make that leap? Here is my 2012 Cincinnati Bengals Draft Grade. First you get a physical, potential number one cornerback in Dre Kirkpatrick, who will come in and compete right away for the position.  Dre was the...

Rounds 1-3 Winners: Cincinnati Bengals

I haven’t loved every pick made by the Cincinnati Bengals, but the class as a whole is a phenomenal haul for one of the up-and-coming teams in the league. Dre Kirkpatrick gives the Bengals a very deep secondary, and he should compete for a starting job. It wasn’t necessarily a glaring need, but the value made it the right choice. Kevin Zeitler was a reach in my opinion, but he...

Mohamed Sanu Actually Drafted by Cincinnati Bengals Night After Prank Claiming First Round

Rutgers wide reciever Mohamed Sanu was, in fact, selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2012 NFL Draft--just not in the round he originally thought he was. Sanu got a phone call from a random number with a New Jersey area code Thursday night from a man saying he was with the Bengals organization. He then went on to tell Sanu that the team had taken him with the 27th overall pick...

Rutgers Wide Receiver Mohamed Sanu Told He Was Drafted by Bengals in Prank Call During First Round of NFL Draft

Getting drafted by an NFL team is a dream come true for many college football players. The draftees are often seen on TV shown with overjoyed enthusiasm when they receive the phone call verifying that the dream has become a reality. Unfortunately for Mohamed Sanu, someone decided to toy with his dream during the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night. The Rutgers wide receiver...

Cincinnati Bengals Draft Sanu

With the 83rd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu. Sanu, who was the victim of a prank involving the Bengals during the first round, joins fellow Rutgers legend Brian Leonard in Cincinnati.

Double Dip Of Draft Lovin’

The Bengals were one of 5 teams to make two selections in the first round, which I think automatically puts them in the top 5 of the draft so far. (Even if the sports media largely ignores them.) I am inclined to give the first round a “B+” grade. Like most of you, there were guys available that I thought would have made better picks. But they did address clear needs, and they...

Someone Pranked Called Mohamed Sanu Saying He Was Drafted By Benglas

Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu received a call Thursday night, during the NFL Draft, as a unknown prank caller claimed they were from the Cincinnati Bengals, as the Bengals were about to draft him, according to Sports Illustrated.Sadly, the Bengals hadn't called Sanu. The caller claimed that Sanu should get himself ready, as the Bengals would draft him as the 27th overall...

Bengals go supersize on Night Two

The Bengals are beefing up for a run at the AFC's really big boys. Two of the Bengals' three picks in the NFL Draft Friday night were defensive tackles. Three of the five picks they've made through three rounds of the draft are 300-plus pound interior linemen. In Thursday night's first round, the Bengals drafted for need. Friday night, they went big with Penn...

Bengals take Cal WR Jones in 5th round

The Bengals got another receiver with their second pick in the fifth round, taking Marvin Jones from California. One of their priorities in the draft was to upgrade a group of receivers that lost Jerome Simpson and Andre Caldwell to free agency. Jones will add depth to the group. He had 62 catches for 846 yards and three touchdowns last season. The Bengals took receiver Mohamed...

Mohamed has learned he's not wanted by the Bengals

Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was the target of a hoax yesterday at the NFL Draft. Someone called the prospect claiming to be from the Cincinnati Bengals. Said caller told Sanu that they would... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com

Draft recap and undrafted free agent signings

Well, it may have played out differently than most could have guessed, but man, the Bengals sure did seem to have a solid draft. After Bengals fans climbed off the ledge on Thursday (looking your direction Mr. Seuberling) and realized what the Bengals accomplished, the total pull by the Bengals looks to improve this team right away. Then, the Bengals went ahead and added to their...

Jones ready after longer than expected wait

Despite having to wait an extra day, Cal wide receiver Marvin Jones is excited to join the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bengals 1st round selections offer stability in the secondary and o-line

Watching the early run on cornerbacks with LSU's Morris Claiborne (selected by the Cowboys at No. 6) and South Carolina's Stephon Gilmore (selected by the Buffalo Bills at No. 10) removed from the team's board early during the first round, Cincinnati addressed their first need of the evening selecting Alabama's Dre Kirkpatrick at No. 17. Considering that the team...
