According to Kevin Kelly of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Bengals rookie cornerback Drew Kirkpatrick after he started experiencing soreness in his knee on Monday.
“The chances of cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick making his NFL debut in Thursday’s preseason game against the Colts took a hit Monday when the Bengals’ top draft pick was held out of practice because of soreness in his left knee.
“Kirkpatrick injured the knee last month and has missed most of the preseason. The soreness developed after Sunday’s workout, Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said,” wrote Kelly.
“We’re still looking at him,” Lewis said. “He had some soreness in the knee yesterday and we just want to make sure. We’ve got a lot of time, so just keep working with him.”
