The New York Giants activated defensive tackle Chris Canty from the physically unable to perform list and expect him to play in Sunday's game against the visiting Washington Redskins. Canty continued to practice this week, working his way back from offseason knee surgery. He was on the PUP list for the first six weeks of the season. Head coach Tom Coughlin said that Canty practiced well Wednesday and Thursday. "He's in very good condition. There's no swelling, so hopefully that's the way it will stay," Coughlin said. The Giants moved running back Da'Rel Scott to the reserve/injured list with a knee injury.Scott on Tuesday underwent a right knee debridement and a repair to the meniscus and is expected to be mostly idle for at least six weeks.
