DT Kevin Givens returning to 49ers on a one-year deal

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the San Francisco 49ers have re-signed defensive tackle Kevin Givens to a one-year deal. He became an unrestricted free agent today, marking the start of the new league year.

San Francisco signed Givens (6-1, 285) as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State in 2019. In 17 game appearances (one start) with the 49ers this past season, he registered 22 tackles, three tackles for a loss, four quarterback hits, 1.5 sacks, and a pass defensed, per Pro Football Reference.

Givens, 27, has recorded 79 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, 12 quarterback hits, 4.5 sacks, three passes defensed, and a forced fumble in his five NFL seasons. He has appeared in 57 games and made 13 starts.
