Left Tackle Duane Brown is in his fifth year with the Houston Texans, and was one of the building blocks Gary Kubiak needed to protect his quarterback. The 2011 second team AP All-Pro protects Matt Schaub's blindside, and keep his quarterback upright. He also helps in creating gaping holes for all world running back Arian Foster. The Texans have been knocking on the door of the NFL elite for the past few years, but could never quite kick it in. Brown believes Sunday’s sloppy battle in Chicago could be the turning point for the Texans. The 8-1 Texans are now firmly atop the AFC and in the driver’s seat for the number one seed for the playoffs. Brown spoke to John & Sean on KGOW in Houston about the Chicago win, and if the Texans have finally turned the corner. “Looking at the prime-time games we’ve had, the games that we did win, people felt like we didn’t perform as well as we should have. We got out there and got our butts kicked, and being able to go into Chicago, in that kind of environment, against that kind of group, we knew it could say a lot about us. It wasn’t pretty; we won 13-6 — we knew it was going to be that type of game. But we felt like we controlled the game. Defensively, they played lights out. Ultimately we kind of hurt ourselves some drives, but we still ran the ball consistently and got that defense a little frustrated and came away with a win. And I think that’s definitely a defining moment for us.” var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
