Oregon great Jeff Maehl had his first two catches and first touchdown as a pro in the Birds' loss. In a fourth quarter drive Nick Foles hit him on back-to-back plays, first for a 37-yard bomb down the left sideline, then for the 6-yard touchdown on a quick screen. Maehl kept the ball after the play.
Kiko Alonso continues to stand out as a rookie middle linebacker for the Buffalo. The Bills caged the Ravens 23-20 in Ralph Wilson Stadium behind a great effort by the defense, holding Ray Rice and the ground game to a net 24 yards. Alonso had five tackles and two pass breakups.
