(AP Photo/David Zalubowski) Denver’s defense may be without two defenders this weekend.  Defensive end Elvis Dumervil (ankle) and cornerback Tracy Porter (illness) have missed practice for two consecutive days and appear unlikely to play against the Chargers in Week 11. “Right now, [Elvis Dumervil has] a muscle strain.  He’s getting treatment, doing everything he should be doing.  He’s in the meetings.  We’ll see what tomorrow brings,” Coach John Fox told the media. If Dumervil is unable to play this weekend, watch for fourth-year defensive end Robert Ayers to see more action, while rookie Derek Wolfe gets involved as well.  Denver’s 31 sacks this season lead the NFL.  Ayers and Wolfe have recorded 4-of-31 of Denver’s quarterback take-downs this season. On a positive injury note, offensive guard Chris Kuper (ankle) was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday — an improvement from not participating last week.  Unless he has a setback, Kuper should, at the very least, be able to play next week when the Broncos travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. Meanwhile, the team on Thursday announced the signing of rookie safety Duke Ihenacho to the practice squad and the release of linebacker Mike Mohamed from the squad.  Ihenacho was waived by the team on Tuesday but cleared waivers, allowing Denver to bring him back as a reserve defensive  back. Porter has missed the past four weeks with seizure-like symptoms and young defensive backs Chris Harris and Tony Carter have stepped up in his absence.  Dumervil, on the other hand, hasn’t missed a game this season and ranks second on the team with seven sacks.  If neither player participates in this afternoon’s practice, expect them to be ruled out for this week’s game.

Broncos’ Doom questionable, Kuper doubtful

Sounds like Broncos‘ defensive end Elvis Dumervil will be a game-time decision this weekend. “He was limited,”  Coach John Fox told the team’s official website. “I think we’ll play it day to day and I’m sure we probably won’t have a final decision until about an hour and a half before kickoff.” Meanwhile, cornerback Tracy Porter (illness) has been ruled out and...

John Elway says his responsibility is to win championships in Denver

Denver Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway told USA Today Sports that he’s uses everyone who doubts him as motivation to build a championship team. “I’ve never wanted to disappoint anybody that’s entrusted a position on me, whether it was as a player, or the role I’m in now. That’s the challenge, and that’s what makes me tick – that...

Crazy triathlete Broncos fan wanted to kill the POTUS

Maybe passing a marijuana law was the right choice for Colorado, because these dudes out there need to mellow out. A self-proclaimed Denver Broncos fan, and triathlete, was recently arrested for allegedly threatening President Barack Hussein Obama. Police were informed by Mitchell Kenneth Kusick’s therapist. Like you could already expect, Kusick was upset with shooting [...]

NFL Rumors: Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning Leading Pro-Bowl Voting

The NFL Pro-Bowl is still scheduled to take place after this season the week before the Super Bowl, unless Roger Goodell has anything to do with cancelling the All-Star game that features absolutely no defense and points galore. One special thing about selecting Pro-Bowl players is that it is not strictly up to the fans, so these players are not just the most popular. They are also...

Another great divisional match up for football fans features an AFC West show down in San Diego, where the (4-5) Chargers welcome Peyton Manning and the division leading (6-3) Broncos to town. San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos: Week 11 NFL Pick

San Diego Chargers (4-5) at Denver Broncos (6-3) In my Power Rankings this week I joked, “Why does it feel like the Chargers are going to lose to Denver, fall to 4-6, and then go on their annual late season run, finish 8-8 or 9-7, miss the playoffs barely, and save Norv Turner’s and AJ Smith’s jobs? Oh, that’s right, that happens every year.” Well, I’m not so sure that...

RotoWire NFL IDP Report

Star defensive end Elvis Dumervil (shoulder) appears is questionable for Sunday's game against San Diego, but his injury is less severe than what some might have feared when he left last week's game against the Panthers. Dumervil has a history of pectoral issues, so the look of an upper-body injury is always frightening with him. Meanwhile, the status of Atlanta linebacker...
