Dwight Freeney was surprised to find out that the franchise he expected he would retire with no longer wants him to be a part of the team. It is not because Freeney is overpriced either, because he was not expecting a lot, according to USA Today Freeney was caught off guard by the news. "I'll be honest with you, I was surprised the way it happened. I figured they would offer me something low, and I would just accept it, go the last few years and retire a Colt and that would be it. That didn't happen," stated Freeney. The strip-sacking defensive end was primarily professing interest in playing for a New York team, whether it is the Giants or the Jets. He said he likes Rex Ryan, but he also grew up a Giants fan, so either works.
