Dwight Jones, former UNC wide receiver, called it a career when he wasn't drafted. This is probably an non-news issue for some people, but for those that follow UNC football, this is pretty funny.

Honestly, it would be a non-news issue if it wasn't for Jones hyping himself so much.

That's right, "2012 Projected Top Draft Pick" went . . . . un-drafted. The saga of Jones status at UNC was just that, a saga. He was initially held out of UNC's bowl game when his eligibility was called into question after the above poster with his likeness received some attention. He was reinstated after a review.
So, after not being drafted, he signed as a UDFA with the Texans. Never one to be humble and grateful, he told a Houston radio station he was going to be the next Andre Johnson. Note to young athletes: To be the next something, you have to be something first.
Well, the Texans never got a chance to cut him, because he quit. That's right. Quit. He just didn't bother showing up any more. I guess he has more time to party now and hand out free drinks in Burlington.
No word yet if there will be a 2nd Annual Dwight Jones New Years Birthday Celebration.
