Found October 05, 2013 on Eagles Addict:
The Philadelphia Eagles’ 2013 season will either come together or completely fall apart over the next five weeks.  Or perhaps even worse, it’ll be somewhere in between. The Eagles could find themselves in first place in the NFC East with a win against the Giants coupled with a Dallas loss to Denver.  Since it’s highly likely that Dallas will lose, the only question is if the Eagles can beat the struggling Giants to claim first place. The following four games are at Tampa Bay followed by two home games versus division rivals Dallas and New York (again) and then a trip out west to Oakland.  They will have four division games in the books and how they fare will likely determine how the second half of this season should be approached. The schedule appears favorable for the Eagles to go on a five game winning streak and could be standing at 6-3 after Week 9.  But, are they good enough to do this? If it happens, Eagles fever will be in full force and everyone will be talking playoffs. How...

Ben Roethlisberger, Michael Vick: A tale of two scramblers

The two NFL teams from the Keystone State are struggling, to say the least. The Pittsburgh Steelers are 0-4 for the first time since 1968, and the Philadelphia Eagles have lost three straight after a dazzling display of offensive potency against the lowly Washington Redskins which, in all actuality, says more about Washington than it does about the Eagles. Not surprisingly, both...

The Eagles may be ready to move on from Michael Vick

The Philadelphia Eagles are moving the ball up and down the field. Michael Vick isn’t completing a high percentage of his passes, but the Eagles also have one of the top offensive units in the NFL. Still, the Eagles are just 1-3 after a quarter of the season. Clearly, the Eagles have some problems, and Michael Vick may be one of them. Under the Andy Reid regime, the Eagles thrived...

Lesean McCoy Rips Knowshon Moreno On Twitter

Damn. Don’t hold anything back Lesean. Philadelphia Eagles running back Lesean McCoy responded to a tweet by ESPN’s Skip Bayless attacking fellow 2009 draftee Knowshon Moreno. Bayless’ tweet complimented Moreno’s 93 yard, 1 touchdown performance in a 51-48 win over the Dallas Cowboys. “Peyton is doing Peyton always does. But Knowshon is KILLING the Cowboys.” McCoy’s...

Random Thoughts: Eagles vs Giants by Phil Allen

The Chip Kelly era in Philadelphia began wish much promise, but by and large the Eagles fan base has forgotten the growing pains that will take place on the road to success. Photo: Philly.com This is madness.I thought the Andy Reid era deteriorated into an ongoing web of intrigue, drama, and back stories the summer of 2005, in the aftermath of the Philadelphia Eagles loss to New...

Mike Vick Hurts Hamstring (Video)

Everyone assume it would be a massive hit that would take Vick out, but in the end it was just a simple run. Nick Foles is now in the game for Eagles.

Eagles have many memories of road games vs. Giants

From Chuck Bednarik's vicious hit on Frank Gifford at Yankee Stadium to Herman Edwards and DeSean Jackson making two Miracles at the Meadowlands, the Philadelphia Eagles have enjoyed some of their greatest moments on the road against the New York Giants. Welcome to the rivalry, Chip Kelly. The Eagles coach certainly doesn't need a refresher course before Sunday's game...

Carl from ATHF is having a tough time with the Giants’ 0-4 start (VIDEO)

We’re checking in with our old pal Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force for the first time this season, and things aren’t looking so great for the Zubaz-wearing prognosticator and his New York Football Giants, who have stumbled out of the gate with an ugly 0-4 start. In fact, it’s gotten so bad that Carl finds himself under court-mandated psychological watch, and ingesting a steady...

LeSean McCoy thinks Knowshon Moreno sucks

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy apparently thinks very little of Knowshon Moreno’s abilities as a running back. During the Denver Broncos’ game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, McCoy responded to a tweet from ESPN resident idiot Skip Bayless praising Knowshon by saying the Broncos running back sucks. Knowshon sucks RT @RealSkipBayless: Peyton is […]

Ya gotta have heart, and Eagles show it in win over Giants, 36-21....

I need to apologize to not only the Eagles organization but also the die-hard Philly fan base everywhere, because I had this game as a stone-cold lock for the Giants... But the Eagles came up with a total team effort--- including 5-for-5 field goals made by Alex Henery--- and a resilience on both offense and defense we hadn't seen since the opener in Washington. There...

Philadelphia Eagles at New York GiantsSunday October 6th 1:00 PM (EST)Line: Giants by 4 Although the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants have both experienced disappointing starts to their seasons, that does not mean the stakes will be any lower than they've been in the past when these two rivals clash on Sunday. With the Dallas Cowboys sitting atop the NFC East standings at...

Eagles look for better luck with this Manning

The Eagles were a topic of conversation on the Manning brothers' phone call this week. They played Peyton Manning last Sunday and face Eli Manning this Sunday when the Eagles visit the New York Giants. When the Eagles defense watches film it sees the same last name on the back of the jersey and many of the same mannerisms. But the brothers are not the same quarterback as the...
