Eagles head coach Andy Reid told reporters that rookie QB Nick Foles suffered a broken hand during Sunday’s loss to the Washington Redskins, per Jeff McLane. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles will most likely give Michael Vick another start in Week 17 when they take on the New York Giants. “He obviously deserves (an) opportunity to play,” said Reid on Monday, per Geoff Mosher. “He’s excited about it. … And ready to go.” This figures to be both Vick and Reid’s final game with Eagles, but Vick really has a lot to play for in this game. He figures to draw interest from one of the quarterback-needy teams, so a strong performance could at least increase his value to some degree. Matt Flynn secured a $19.5 million contract based on a single strong outing, so it’s fair to assume that Vick could surpass that figure.   The post Eagles Are Likely To Start Michael Vick In Week 17 appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors.

NFL Rumors: Philadelphia Eagles to start Michael Vick in season finale?

It appears that there is a chance that Michael Vick might make one more start for the Philadelphia Eagles this season. Rookie QB Nick Foles suffered a hairline fracture in his hand during Sunday’s loss to the Washington Redskins. He sustained the injury to his hand near the end of the first-half and Eagles head coach Andy Reid told the media this afternoon that Foles will not start...

Eagles' Vick likely to start Sunday

Eagles rookie quarterback Nick Foles has a broken right hand, and coach Andy Reid said Michael Vick will likely start against the New York Giants in Sunday's season finale. Reid said Monday that Foles broke his throwing hand in the second quarter of a 27-20 loss to Washington, but returned to the game after X-rays at the stadium were negative. Vick hasn't played since suffering...

Andy wants Vick to start final game vs. Giants...and Jimmy Kempski breaks down a breakdown...

I don't get it, but I guess Andy Reid has a logical reason to want Mike Vick as his QB#1 in a "meaningless" final game of the 2012 season on the road against the Giants. New York (8-7) is still alive in the playoff mathematics, but only by the slimmest of algebraic margins. Meanwhile, this is the ultimate U-Haul game for the Birds.      ...

Nick "Shaggy" Foles was on a roll there for a while, but in the end, the instincts to make the winning play were just not there. Shaggy drove the Eagles to the Redskins 5 before his intentional grounding penalty ended the game. How Eagles of Them!

Eagles v. Redskins, Sunday, December 23, 2012 I was in two minds about this game. On the one hand, it’s clear this was Andy Reid’s last home game, and I was hoping the team could send him on his way with a win. On the other hand, top 5 pick! And on the third hand, if I may borrow one of yours, of the remaining choices to win the division, I’d most like to see it go to...
