Defensive tackle Mike Patterson is back on the 53-man roster of the Philadelphia Eagles. The move to activate him was made on Saturday.
Patterson has shown that he had made a full recovery following his brain surgery for AVM, a condition that caused him to collapse in seizures at training camp in the summer of 2011. To make room for Patterson, the Eagles released linebacker Jason Williams.
Patterson is thrilled at his progress and the chance to once again be a healthy member of the Eagles.
“More than anything, I am excited to get back out here…I am just hoping to stay with the speed and just keep on working. That’s the only thing I have a concern with, just staying with the speed of the game.”
WR Mardy Gilyard is out for Monday night with a hamstring injury. OG Danny Watkins will miss a second straight game due to a continuing ankle injury.
