According to the NFL, The Eagles are looking to trade CB Asante Samuel before the NFL Draft. Samuel is due to make $8.4 million dollars in 2012.

This is not news as much as it is a declaration of an obvious writing on the wall. When the Eagles traded for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and lured in then free agent Nnamdi Asomugha, Samuel was reportedly very upset.

Eagles Place CB Asante Samuel On The Trading Block

Despite a few potential obstacles, the Eagles will try to trade Asante Samuel before April's draft. The cornerback is 31 and due to earn $9.5 million next season, so it's unlikely they'll get anything close to what they would have had last August in a near-complete swap with the Detroit Lions. The Eagles had some leverage then because they had planned to start Nnamdi...

Eagles Offered RB LeSean McCoy That Would Pay $6M Per Year

Sometime in the past year, the Philadelphia Eagles offered running back LeSean McCoy a contract that would have paid him just $6 million per season, the Philadelphia Daily News reported Saturday. That would be a comparatively low-paying contract for a running back who finished the 2011 season with 1,309 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. Arian Foster, who ran for 1,224 yards and 10...
