Cary Williams came to the Philadelphia Eagles used to a different way of doing things.
Williams spent a few seasons in Baltimore, and is used to being the bully, not the bullied. Williams and Eagles cornerback Brandon Boykin complained about the Patriots being dirty, and trying to bully the Eagles when the two teams got together for joint practices last week.
Williams was not happy, and according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, also accused the Patriots of being dirty, and accused his current team of being soft.
“No question,” the Eagles cornerback back. “They came in there talking. They had a lot of jokes, and [he-hes] and laughs, a lot of dirty plays that were going on. So there was a reason behind what I did, there was a reason behind the madness. At the end of the day, I still got to do things the way coach wants me to do it, and I understand that. But it definitely would have been a different situation if it was in Baltimore. It wouldn’t have been a fun practice for the Patriots, I can tell you that.”
The Patriots talking trash and being bullies, imagine that.
Williams though didn’t think it was cool, felt his team responded softly, and wants to create a different aura in Philadelphia for this defense.
“I feel like we need a nasty, no question,” Williams said. “I feel like we got to establish a tenacity, a tough-nosed defense, a hard-nosed defense, something that’s to be feared when it comes out to each and every week. Brian Dawkins alluded to it a couple of times when I spoke to him. He was talking about bring that fear back here. Right now, I don’t know if there’s anybody out there that fears this defense, especially after last week. So I think we have to come together, find a way to get back to those old days when Brian Dawkins was here. Strike the fear in individuals or teams.”

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cary Williams is tired of being walked on, which led to a fight with a New England Patriots player at practice.
Williams, who spent the last four seasons in Baltimore with the Ravens, grabbed the face mask of Patriots rookie receiver Aaron Dobson and yanked on it after a few plays of joint 11-on-11 Tuesday.

The Philadelphia Eagles were on the losing end of their matchup against the New England Patriots Friday evening, 31-22. However, for Eagles’ head coach Chip Kelly, his answer of who will be his starting quarterback between veteran Michael Vick and Nick Foles may have manifested, slightly. Although Kelly did not give notice nor mention who will be his starting signal caller, Vick...
Lane Johnson is a massive man. The No. 4 overall pick by the Philadelphia Eagles checks in at 6-foot-6 and 303 pounds, which is a pretty good size for an offensive tackle. If the Eagles are smart, they might have to get a jumpstart on recruiting Johnson’s son. Johnson’s wife gave birth to the couple’s […]
Chiefs head coach Andy reid admitted to the New York Times as well as Peter King of SI.com that he tried to trade for quarterback Alex Smith twice during his time with the Eagles. Two other things about Reid: In the New York Times Sunday, he admitted he’d twice tried to trade for Alex Smith while in Philadelphia. He didn’t say when, and he told me that while it was true, he...
The Patriots and Eagles squared off on Friday night and the Eagles fans were in mid-season form. I have to say this is probably in bad taste, but A for creativity. You can’t set the bar this high when it’s only week 1 of the preseason dudes.

The Kansas City Chiefs may be able to breathe a little easier. Star running back Jamaal Charles was spotting walking without a limp Tuesday morning.
Charles, 26, is again expected to be a large part of the Chiefs offense in 2013.
On Monday the sixth year player went down with a right foot injury. That Charles is not wearing a boot and appears to be walking without issue would suggest...

When Andy Reid took over the Chiefs this past offseason there was a large noticable glaring hole at quarterback. Reid didn't mess around when it came to filling that hole handing the 49ers a pair of second-round picks for Alex Smith in a stunning offseason trade.
Turns out this past summer wasn't the first time Reid made an an attempt to land Smith from the 49ers (although...
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid knows a good quarterback when he sees one. Reid has made a living out of taking quarterbacks no one believed in, and making them serviceable.
Just ask Bills backup Kevin Kolb who turned an opportunity to start in Philadelphia, into $28 million guaranteed from the Cardinals.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired wide receiver Jeff Maehl from Houston for offensive lineman Nate Menkin.
Maehl, who played for Eagles coach Chip Kelly at Oregon, appeared in three games for the Texans in 2011 and spent last year on the practice squad.
Monday's move gives the Eagles another option at a position where they lost starter Jeremy Maclin...

As of right now the Philadelphia Eagles have so many question marks running around their organization. Who's going to be the starting Quarterback? Will LeSean McCoy be splitting snaps with Bryce Brown or Chris Polk? What's going on with the whole Riley Cooper situation? The list goes on & on. Before Philadelphia's first game I believe all of these questions will be...
