With any chance at the playoffs now officially over, the Eagles are now playing for next season earlier then anyone expected they would.
Part of that will mean seeing bench players get more playing time- Jaiquawn Jarrett, Brandon Graham, Curtis Marsh- in order to evaluate them for next year.
But in the eyes of the fans, the objective on Sunday is clear: lose to ensure a higher draft pick.
Going into the final week of the season, the Eagles currently own the 13th pick in draft. With a record of 7-8, the Eagles could jump as high as the 9th pick if they were to lose on Sunday.
A win could make the Eagles go as low as 16th.
Their opponent, the Washington Redskins, also have draft positioning to play for on Sunday. The Redskins are 5-10, and could go as high as 4th with a loss. A win could drop the Redskins as low as 11th.
