They need dog players---sign namdi asougma corner back,and get defensive tackle and ends to rush---and linbacker to play fast---the late jim johnson,scared opposing offensive with blitz's and back them up and out of RED ZONE--hope juan castillo can do that with defense,we will see---and that starts with linebacker's hard hitting--ala pittsburge steelers
If you’re like me, you embrace good defensive football. Don’t get me wrong, having an offense that scores a bunch of points and makes big plays is certainly exciting. I know that everytime an Eagle QB drops back and launches a long bomb I’m breathless with anticipation of the huge play, especially with the likes of DeSean Jackson on the team. But there is nothing I take more pride in than playing fierce defense.
Defense is what gets me fired up, it’s what makes me pound my chest, it’s what makes me feel like I’m a 10 foot tall musclebound superman. When you’re “defending” something, you do it with everything you’ve got. If you’re being attacked you might turn into a crazed maniac in order to defend yourself. Or sometimes you defend by being the aggressor, just like an animal protecting their young. I agree, they do need some dogs! We definitely need another CB and I think we'll get one. But as far as DE's, DT's, and LB's...we'll be rolling pretty much with who's on the roster as of now. We need to hope Castillo and DL coach Washburn get the most out of these guys. But the question still is, is that enough?
