Eagles fans .. don't get your hopes up

he said that yesterday before they cut spikes and freed up 5miilion in cap space. that was a recording u heard. Was he suppose to say we're looking to trade while guys are still on the team?

Realistically, we will either end up with roy, possibly Torry, but it's either that or nothing. Im not being negative, im just stating facts. We will still be beastly on both sides of the ball with or without "a true number 1"

WHAT DO U EXPECT HIM TO SAY? "No I hate our wrs, we will never win with curtis as a number one"? He can't say that... he has to say he likes his wrs to instill confidence in his team... what coach throws his team under the bus in the offseason? We will get a big name, whether it be Fitz, Holt, Williams, or Ocho, we will be getting one, almost 100% now that TKO is gone.

And don't give up on Fitz... the rumor of fitz to iggles just surfaced finally on ESPN.com, so it must be seeming more and more credible, and the Cards must be at least looking at dealing him. Also, you know the Cards must be insecure about the Fitz situation, otherwise they wouldnt be coming out w/ all of these statements saying they won't trade him, etc, they would play it cool if they were close. They seem nervous to me, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Fitz in Eagles green next season.

Reid can't show his cards in a competitive market for WRs, especially when its so obvious Eagles need a strong WR along with Kevin Curtis. I'm sure he's still very actively looking. Plus, remember all those teams in the running for Moss and it was discovered AFTER how close the Eagles made it?

Reid is looking at some of the $$ being spent on receivers like Stallworth and Berrian and just doesn't want to overpay.

Great write sandlansd you are 100% about everything, i guess people who don't know crap expect the coach to throw his players under the bus but it just doesn't work that way! I really think we are going to sign a true #1 WR , even though it's killing me that we haven't, we all have to remain patient, the FO is truly trying this year!!!!!!!

I agree with the statement just posted Reid can not say that he is not happy with his WR'S that would be damaging to the confidence of not only to his recievers but the whole team I mean come on he is the head coach for Goodness sakes if anybody who has to have confidence in his team at all times its the Head coach. Also if you look at GCOBB.COM yesterday it stated that the Eagles organization did not want to make the pursuit of Rany Moss to get out in the public because the expectations of the fans would had risen and the pressure would of been on them greatly to bring him to philly. So with that in mind I believe that they will not make the same mistake of letting it be known who they are going after and where they are at with present negoations, but as we all know actions speak louder than words and with the release of TKO we all know it will free up salary cap by 5 million giving them more leveage to entice a top flight reciever to sign.
