The Philadelphia Eagles have placed the Franchise Tag on Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson. This will make Jackson an Eagle for at least one more season at the cost of $9.4 million on the Franchise Tag. The Eagles have come out and said that they will be listening to offers for him but also intend on trying to get a long-term contract in place for Jackson. “We want DeSean to be an Eagle for the long haul and this is a step to accomplish that” said General Manager Howie Roseman. Now the question becomes, will DeSean improve his attitude and want to remain in Philly or will he continue to be a disgruntled receiver and force his way out of Philly. Looking around the league there are plenty of teams in the NFL who most certainly could use Jackson, and there is one team in particular who I think should trade for Jackson, the San Diego Chargers. We have been waiting years for the Chargers to break out for years and finally be able to land in the Super Bowl.
