Sloppy

We're not sure what to make of this game.  The Chiefs stink, their best player (Bowe) is out, and did we mention they're not any good?  However, they're a rebuilding team which makes them unpredictable and dangerous, and their head coach Todd Haley designed the gameplan that dropped 32 points on the Eagles in last year's NFC Championship.

And the Eagles aren't exactly a model of stability at the moment either.  Injuries are mounting, with Westbrook and Curtis the latest victims of the bug.  They'll be depending on rookies in those key spots, not to mention implementing a player who hasn't been on a football field in two years.  We haven't even touched on whether Kevin Kolb will improve on last week's performance, or show what many believe are his true colors.

The conditions could be a factor as well.  The Philly area got plenty of rain in the past 24 hours, with Temple already making their mark on the turf in yesterday's win over Buffalo.  It will be interesting to see what sort of impact, if any, the players' footing will have in the final outcome.

Ultimately though, we don't want any excuses.  When the schedule came out, we marked down a 'W' in this slot.  It doesn't really matter who's inactive, people want to see the Eagles outclass their opponent today.  This has the feeling of a sloppy one though, and they might need to just survive this match rather than try to assert themselves.

That's not Reid's style though.  Prepare for lots of passing, and a heavy dose of Wildcat.
