Eagles Guide on Defense: (click here for Dan’s Offense breakdown)The Philadelphia Eagles defense is going to be busy on Sunday with the amount of playmakers the New York Jets has on offense. Running back Shonn Greene is the starter on the Jets offense and is closing in on a 1,000-yard season. But don’t forget about veteran LaDainian Tomlinson who has been heavily utilized coming out of the backfield on screen passes but still posses as a threat in the ground game. Philadelphia will also have to fend off tight end Dustin Keller who leads the Jets in both receptions (47) and yards (620). It is well known that the Eagles have traditionally struggled with opposing tight ends, however, they’ve done a better job this season in that area. But it’s the Jets reveivers Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress are, in my eyes, the two players that pose as the Eagles biggest threat on Sunday. If there are any Eagles fans who fear a dominating performance by Burress that thought could certainly beJeff...

NFL Predictions: Can Tampa Bay Beat Dallas and Help the Eagles?

The Eagles long ago forfeited the ability to control their own destiny over the season’s final weeks. They simply didn’t earn the right. And though their playoff hopes remain alive, such hopes can be considered no better than on life support. In fact, by the time the Eagles and Jets kick-off at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday afternoon, it could all be over for this mess of...

The New York Jets have lost safety Jim Leonhard for the rest of the season.  They’ve filled his spot on the roster with veteran free agent Gerald Alexander. The team announced this evening that Alexander, cut by the Dolphins last month, has been added to the team. A second-round pick in the 2007 draft, Alexander…

For Bart Scott, the Super Bowl talk can wait. The Jets’ linebacker believes the 8-5 Jets are not playing well enough to consider themselves contenders for the Super Bowl, and he is not even sure if they’re good enough to make the playoffs. “I don’t think we’re...

NFL gear for women has received a major fashion overhaul in recent years. Apparel and accessories are more suited to the wants and needs of female fans and the league developed a dedicated “NFL Women’s Apparel: Fit For You” campaign to recognize the female fan base. Fashion houses are also working to get in on the action, teaming up with pro teams to offer a fashion-forward...

Jets sign veteran S Alexander (AP)

The New York Jets have signed veteran safety Gerald Alexander, adding depth to the position two days after Jim Leonhard was lost for the season because of a knee injury. Alexander, a former second-round pick of Detroit in 2007, was waived by Miami last month after spending last season with Carolina and Jacksonville.

JL Fallout: The Next Nickel Safety

Just like the endless spate of reality TV shows to help America find it’s next A) competition based culinarian B) fashion iconoclast C) worm-eater D) drunkest Seaside Heights male slut … Likewise, there’s solid reality show potential bubbling in the surface.  We wonder how the Jets will respond to one of their loss of Jim Leonhard with Brodney Pool & Eric Smith being...
